There is no membership fee for the Black Alumni Society, although, all alumni are encouraged to become an Alumni Association member. Your membership helps the Alumni Association provide funding for BAS programming. Visit www.alumni.ncsu.edu/join for more information about becoming a member.
The Black Alumni Society, founded in 1979, fosters opportunities for African American alumni, students, faculty, staff and university friends to become actively involved in enriching NC State. All former students of African descent who have been in enrolled in college courses at NC State University or other individuals who have completed courses and received a certificate at NC State University are considered as members of the Black Alumni Society. Honorary members consist of individuals who did not attend NC State University but have demonstrated support for the University and mission of the Black Alumni Society.
